• The material: White 1 lb density EPS (expanded polystyrene). Smooth, lightweight and rigid, and dense enough to take real weight.
• Shape & finish: Cuts clean with a hot wire cutter. Use water-based paints and glues; oil- and solvent-based products (including most spray paints) melt EPS.

Is this a styrofoam block?
It’s what most people mean when they search for styrofoam: white EPS (expanded polystyrene), a lightweight foam made of tiny fused beads. It’s craft foam, not the blue insulation board. For clean cuts without loose beads, use a hot wire cutter.

Can I use it for fresh flowers?
No. EPS doesn't hold water, so it's made for silk, dried and artificial arrangements. For fresh flowers, use wet floral foam.

How much weight will it hold?
It's firm enough to take real weight and will dent before it breaks. For heavy or repeated use, add a hard coat like plaster, joint compound or a foam coating.
