Are these styrofoam blocks?
Yes, in everyday terms. They're white EPS (expanded polystyrene), the lightweight bead foam most people mean when they say styrofoam. It's craft foam, not the blue insulation board.

Can I use it for fresh flowers?
No. EPS doesn't hold water, so it's made for silk, dried and artificial arrangements. For fresh flowers, use wet floral foam.

How much weight will it hold?
It's firm enough to take real weight and will dent before it breaks. For heavy or repeated use, add a hard coat like plaster, joint compound or a foam coating.
